Molly was trained by Vonnie and Wayne Evans and what a marvelous job they did. It took me five years to get over my last dog, but I was ready to look for a rescue dog again. This time I wanted a large dog, but there was only one Newfoundland available. When I went to the shelter in Houlton, ME they told me of someone looking for a good home for a large breed collie type dog. I phoned the number I was given and invited them to come see where Molly would be living. It was love at first sight on both our parts. Molly was five years old, but allergies forced the family to give her up.
She was taught not to pull on the leash, not to jump up on people, not to beg at the table, not to go in the garbage, and not to get up on the furniture. I was only left with two things to train her for, riding in a car and allowing me to brush her hind quarters.
What more could I ask for?
I had her another nine years when she died at the age of 14 from hip problems. I kept in touch with Vonnie and Wayne to let them know how much I loved their gift to me.

I miss her with all my heart and have now taken on a six year old doggie mill rescue Lhasa Apso.
