Born in Akron, OH to William and Ethylene on August 15, 1927, the Rancho Palos Verdes resident passed away peacefully on June 27, 2012. Bill graduated from Akron University with a Bachelor of Science and went on to earn his DDS from The Ohio State University. After serving in the United States Air Force in San Antonio, TX, he eventually moved to southern California where he started his own dental practice in Wilmington. He moved the practice to Torrance in 1976 where he completed his 40 years of dedicated service to his patients. For 32 of those years, he worked side-by-side with his wife, Pat, who was his dental hygienist. They were passionate about traveling and during their 52 years of marriage visiting all seven continents in their journies. He was a Benefactor to the Malaga Cove Library and Past President of the Palos Verdes Little League and an AYSO coach in the very early days of the league.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 11am in the Green Hills Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peninsula Friends of the Library, P.O. Box 2361
