Private First Class James B Hicks was the son of Mr and Mrs N S Hicks of Troy.
He entered the Army on August 21, 1943 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He served in the European Theater and was killed in action in Germany on April 8, 1945.
Private First Class Hicks was buried in the Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial in Margraten, Eijsden-Margraten Municipality, Limburg, Netherlands.
