She was born on April 26, 1934, in Milroy, Mifflin County, the daughter of the late Fred and Kathryn (Civitts) Baker. She was united in marriage to Martin L. Allenbaugh on February 24, 1955.
Her husband survives, along with the following children: Mrs. Robert (Sandra K.) Morgan, Mount Union, R.D. 1; Mrs. Donald (Tina M.) Bohn, Boiling Springs; Sam Allenbaugh, Danville.
Also surviving are three grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Steve (Jeanette) Skopic, Mount Union, R.D. 1; Mrs. Frank (Betty) Houser, Milroy; twin brothers, Fred Baker of McVeytown and Frank Baker of Washington, Helen's twin sister, Mrs. James (Ellen) Miller, McVeytown and Robert Baker, McClure.
One brother, John Baker preceded her in death.
Mrs. Allenbaugh had been employed by the Greif Brothers Manufacturing and Robin Footwear, Mount Union, and also worked at US Sports, Huntingdon, and at Standard Steel in Burham. She also farmed with her husband and drove van for her daughter, transporting Mount Union school students. She was a homemaker.
She attended the Calvary Independent Baptist Church, Huntingdon. She graduated from Captain Jack High School, Mount Union, in the Class of 1952.
Funerals services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 5, at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Steve Von Bokern officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home today, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., and on Thursday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service.
