Myrtle Lee Britt, age 86, of Lumberton, NC died on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born on November 1, 1922 in Robeson County, NC. She previously worked as a weaver in the textile industry.
Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Britt, Sr; one son, Edison Britt, Jr.; and one great-grandson, Richard Shae Britt.
She is survived by three sons, Donald Britt and wife, Jewel of Orrum, NC, Garry Britt and wife, Denise of Lumberton, NC and Kenny Britt and wife, Angie of Lumberton, NC; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Chip Bass officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
The family will recieve friends on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
