Margaret Virginia Lott Vickers, age 96 of Douglas, GA died August 9th, 2014. She
died peacefully at home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Vickers was born February 25, 1918 in Hazlehurst, GA. Predeceasing her in
death were her parents, Albert Milton Lott and Edith Bryant (Sallie) Williams
Lott, and one sister, Edith Elizabeth Lott.

In 1937, she took a teaching position at Ambrose Elementary School in Ambrose,
GA. She met Milton Vickers and they married on December 20th, 1941.

She is survived by an only child, Miriam Vickers Holland of Conyers, GA. She is
also survived by one granddaughter, Sallie Holland Graves, husband John and two
great grandsons Ian Wallace Graves and Cooper John Graves of Sandy Springs, GA.
Sallie and her boys were "Nannie's" bright and shining light and she was very
dedicated to them. In addition, Margaret is survived by nieces and nephews and a
devoted friend, Judy Davis.

Funeral Services were held at New Hope Baptist Church in Ambrose, GA at 11 am on
Monday, August 11, 2014. Interment followed in the New Hope Baptist Church
Cemetery.
