Dorothy M. Ransom was Born in Alpena Michigan July 9, 1918. She was Married to Dale M. Ransom in March 30, 1940. She passed away on March 9, 2012 at the of 93. Dorothy was the eldest of thirteen children. She is survived by two brothers, Eugene Jasman, Dan Jasman and four sisters, Shirley Gamache, Phyllis Corwin, Diane Gralewicz and Trudy Sulejman. Her children, Clyde Ransom, Roger Ransom, Melvin Ransom, Michael Ransom and Penelope Streifel. She attended schools in Alpena and is a graduate of Nursing in Detroit Michigan. She was administrator of Hillhaven Convalescent Hospital for twenty-five years and Citrus Care in Fontana California. She retired from nursing at the age of eighty. Her total years in nursing was fifty-two. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Hemet and the Mission Circle. Her hobbies were mainly in knitting and crocheting. She crocheted many lap blankets for Veterans and many other items for the Mission Circle. Her special interests were the American Cancer Society and the Special Olympics.
