Edna Mae Hartman, age 89 from Irving, Texas went to be the Lord on June 19, 2012. She was born Sept. 2, 1922 in Pennsylvania. She married Wayne Eldridge Hartman in August of 1945. Early in her career she was a civilian photographer for the United States military. Later she studied and became a real estate Agent in Irving (DFW), and soon excelled to broker and partnered Hartman Real Estate. Mrs. Hartman volunteered within the community, becoming a charter member of the Irving Republican Club, Irving Women's Republican Club, past activities Coordinator for the Irving ALTRUSA Club, member of the Irving ABWA and Irving Real Estate Association. Prior to moving to Irving, Mrs. Hartman lived in Palm Springs, Florida where she met her husband. They then moved to Springfield, Ohio with their infant daughter Wanita. As the family grew they moved to Warren, Ohio, Greenwood, Indiana and finally Irving, Texas. With regard, Mrs. Hartman never lost her love for Pennsylvania. She is survived by her daughter Wanita Haltom Purner and son- in law James Purner of Sugarland, Texas; son Wayne L. Hartman and daughter-in-law Zora Hartman of Houston, Texas; daughter Cindy Dorries and son-in-law Rev. Joe Dorries of Irving, Texas. She also is survived by Grandchildren Scott Haltom and wife Cynthia of Fort Worth, Texas; Sean Haltom and wife Ruth Ann of Saginaw, Texas; Paul Lewdy Moore of Houston, Texas; Joshua Dorries of New York, New York. She has four great grandsons. Sibling survivors include brothers Bud McCartney of Florida; Lamar McCartney of Pennsylvania; Glenn McCartney of Pennsylvania. Other survivorship are many nieces and nephews, respectively. Mrs. Hartman was preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne E. Hartman in 1997, grandson Anthony Haltom, Dallas; sister Florence Meade, Florida. Mrs. Hartman's final resting place will be at Oak Grove Memorial Park in Irving, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Friday June 22, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Reverend Joe Dorries Officiating.
