Seneca, SC—Nina O'Shields Abbott, 88, wife of the late John William Abbott, of 500 West North Third Street, Seneca, SC, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at her residence.
Born in Ware Shoals, SC, Mrs. Abbott was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Nellie Williams O'Shields. She was owner and operator of Abbott Childcare for 20 years. Mrs. Abbott was a member of Seneca Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Abbott is survived by daughters, two daughters; four brothers; two sisters; one sister-in-law; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Abbott was predeceased by brother, Perry O'Shields.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Seneca Presbyterian Church with burial following in Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
The family is at the residence.
