Aloysius Haessly, the 13 year old son of Mr and Mrs Charles Haessly, living on the John Hess farm, met with a horrible death last Monday morning. The boy had been assisting his father in cutting feed and in some way his clothing got caught on the tumbling rod of the horsepower which whirled him to his death before the machinery could be stopped.

Photo showing Haessly is the back side of the stone. The bottom photo was taken with the camera upside down to catch the date. The name is not showing. I hope to get this stone righted.
