Jeanie Carrol Abell, a woman whose heart's desire was to be a sign and a wonder, passed from this life and joined the great cloud of witnesses on Thursday, Feb. 4. 2010.

Born on June 14, 1946, in Vicksburg, Miss., Jeanie was the ninth of eleven children born to Elzy and Callie Hampton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers and two sisters.

Many people knew Jeanie from her 20 years of working at the Clerk's Office at the Bay County Court House. The last several years, she was a licensed real estate broker. Jeanie's grandchildren were the loves of her life. She enjoyed them immensely. Her loving affirmation of them was always, "I love you to the sky!"

Jeanie will be missed dearly by her church family at The Rock, of which she was a faithful part for almost 27 years. Of her life, Jeanie wanted it said, "She walked with Yahweh her God." Those who knew this lady can unequivocally testify that indeed she did. And now, she is walking with Him in Glory.

A celebration of Jeanie's life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. at The Rock of Panama Cit, Fla., with Apostle F. Nolan Ball officiating. Southerland
