Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Trina Plantz Wells and her son, Christopher Plantz, her brother and three sisters, many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

Chapel services will be held 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2001 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, Oklahoma with Reverend Roy Jordan officiating. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma.

Plantz shares a grave marker with family members under the name "Sellers," but her legal last name was Plantz. She was executed for the murder of her husband James Earl "Jim" Plantz.
Her lover and co-conspirator William Clifford Bryson was executed on July 15, 2000. Bryson's friend William McKimble, to avoid the death penalty, accepted a plea deal, testified against Bryson and Plantz, and received a life sentence.
