Gladys Marie Pryor, 76, of 2222 N. Rouse St., Died at 8 a.m. Monday, July 2, 1990 in the emergency room of Mt. Carmel Medical Center. She had been a patient in the Sunset manor Nursing Home in Frontenac since January. Mrs. Pryor was born on Nov. 16 1913, in Pittsburg to William H and Sofronia Margaret Neff Brown. She lived in Pittsburg her entire life. On May 25, 1929, she married Chester "Lefty" Pryor at Lamar, Mo. Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Chester Pryor, Jr. of 2600 N. Rouse, Terry Pryor of Arcadia, and Michael Pryor of 911 E. 10th; four daughters, Shirley Munsell of 903 E. 10th, Donna Flater of Maze, Connie Scott of 822 E. 23rd, and Janie Orender of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Donald F. Brown of Frontenac; one sister, Nanny Johns of 2309 N. Rouse; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Brown; two half-brothers, Marvin and George Brown; and by a half-sister, Cora Duff. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, with the Rev. Daryl Gaddy of the Lighthouse Tabernacle officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
