Norman was born in Montgomery, Alabama but was a resident of Vienna for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. L. Gilbert, Jr. and Lavelle Gilbert Pittard and his step-mother, Lorraine Gilbert. Norman enjoyed country music, eating at Ryan's Steak House, drawing and listening to the radio. He also had a great love of animals, especially dogs. Norman ALWAYS had a smile for you and a great sense of humor. His family has been so blessed to have him in their lives and they will miss his dearly.
