At the time of his death he was probably helping to support his Mother and Siblings along with his Wife, Lillie and a Son, Charles John Higman and a Step Daughter, Pearl Violet Collins. He is not buried in Lowry City Cemetery. Younger Cemetery in Stockton, Missouri is a very strong possibility. In 2021 I found an old newspaper story that in 1908 day laborers worked in a mine in Alma, Jasper County, Missouri near Carthage. There was a man named Jonathan Hickman who died in a mine in 1908. Could that be him? Siblings that are not listed are Jesse H Higman b 1870, Elizabeth Higman b 1875, Melissa Gertrude Higman b 1878 and Frances (Isabella) Higman/Evans b 1874. If anyone has proof of where he died or how he died please contact Karen Higman-Austin.
