He worked on farms in the Moscow area before moving to Clarkston, where he worked as a millwright in the pulp division of Potlatch Corp.
He married Verna Vickrey on April 3, 1940, in Moscow.
Survivors include his widow, of Clarkston, a nephew, Jim Howerton, and cousins Jerry Snow and Orval Snow all of Moscow.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Clarkston First Baptist Church building fund.
