Dr. Bradley D. Lockeman, 61, a retired associate professor at the University of Idaho Business School in Moscow, Idaho, died Sunday afternoon at his home in Moscow from a lengthy illness.

He was born on Oct. 22, 1941, at Detroit, Mich., to Roy Albert and Lucile Rugg Lockeman. He attended his schooling at Dearborn, Mich., and graduated from high school in 1959. He attended the University of Michigan and received his Ph.D. in business in 1973.

He started teaching in Pocatello, Idaho, in 1972, and later transferred to the University of Idaho and was associate professor at the University of Idaho Business School until he retired in 1998. Mr. Lockeman also managed Lockeman's Boats and Hardware in Detroit.

He married Stania Nicka Laisner on Jan. 4, 1988, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. The couple made their home in Moscow.

Bradley was a member of the Moscow Moose. He loved the water and did everything you could on it or in it; boating, rafting, sailing, skiing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing.

Private family services will be conducted at the Moscow Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the Hospice of the Palouse, 700 S. Main, Moscow, ID 83843.

Kramer Funeral Home of Palouse, Wash., is in charge of the arrangements.
