JOHN GRETEMAN DIES THURSDAY

Illness Extended over Period of Several Months--Had Been Poorly for Years.

WAS 65 YEARS OF AGE

Rev. James Greteman, the Celebrant, is Nephew of the Deceased-A Large Funeral.

John Greteman passed away at his home in Templeton Thursday night, after an illness extended over several months. His health had been poor for the last few years but he was always able to be up and around unil recently.

John Greteman was born at Blue Island, Ill., December 15, 1858, and in the early years of his youth he accompanied his parents to St. Lucas Fayette county, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. At the age of 22 years he went t Wilmont, Minn., where he engaged in faring. Her he was married to Miss Anna Lechter (Lichter). To this union were born two children, Katherine and Edward. In 1905 they moved to Templeton where Mr. Greteman conducted a cream station for several years.

His daughter, Katherine, preceded him in death, followed shortly by Mrs. Greteman.

Mr. Greteman was an ardent member of the Catholic church, being a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a devout member of the Holy Name men's society.

He was a sunny, kind disposition, always friendly and well liked by all.

Solemn requiem mass was held at the Sacred Heart church Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock.

Rev. James Greteman, of Remsen, a nephew of the deceased, was celebrant. The church was crowded with relatives and friends.

The Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name men's society attended he funeral in bodies.
