John C. Foth, Jr., 66, of Linwood, Upper Chichester, a former Scott Paper Co. employee, died June 23 at home.
A former longtime resident of Chester, Mr. Foth lived in Linwood for the last six years. He was a 1953 graduate of Chester High School.
Mr. Foth was employed for 20 years as a maintenance man in the finishing division of Scott Paper Co., retiring in 1994. Prior to that, he worked for 21 years as a tool and die maker at Baldt Anchor and Chain Co. in Chester.
An avid fisherman and gardener, Mr. Foth was devoted to his wife and children. He was a beloved brother-in-law and uncle.
Survivors: Wife of 43 years, Eleanor Lupi Foth son, John C. Foth III, at home daughters, Ellie Foth of Trainer and Jackie Schonewolf of Pennsauken, N.J. brothers, Robert Foth of Newark, Del., and Paul Foth of St. Petersburg, Fla. sisters, Jane Marth of Chester and Dorothy Watras of Boothwyn.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nolan-Fidale Funeral Home, 2316 Providence Ave., Chester.
Visitation: 8-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial: Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, Lower Chichester.
