Mrs. Bessie L. Albies, 208 North Hanover Street, widow of Joseph T. Albies, died Sunday at the Carlisle Hospital. She was 77 years old.

Mrs. Albies was born on Sept. 6, 1890, at Elkton, Va., a daughter of the late John W. and Virginia Baugher Flick. She lived in Carlisle for the last 40 years.

She and her late husband owned and operated the Mineral Vapor Baths at 208 North Hanover Street, for many years. She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 Hanover Street. The Rev. Newton L. Poling, her pastor and the Rev. R. Allen McVicker, pastor of the Carlisle Alliance Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. There will be no viewing. It was requested that flowers be omitted.
