Edith G. McRee, 90, of Blue Springs, Mo., formerly of Decatur, died Thursday (Dec. 18, 2003) in St. Mary's Hospital, Blue Springs.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour before services with 10:45 a.m. Order of the Eastern Star services. Burial with Flight Home Ceremony will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Illinois Masonic Home, Sullivan, or Eastern Star Home, Macon.

Edith was born Aug. 27, 1913, in Tower Hill, the daughter of Michael Francis and Ethel Reynolds Guinnee. She was employed as a secretary for the state of Illinois in the Department of Mines and Minerals for several years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 68 years, most recently with Guiding Light Chapter 1016, and a member of Daughters of the Nile Chapter 36 in Peoria. She married Joseph K. McRee on June 3, 1933, in Peoria. He preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1992.

Surviving are her son, Terry Michael McRee and wife Kimberly of Spring Hills, Tenn.; daughter, Sally Jo Marquis and husband Frederick of Blue Springs; grandchildren, Brieanna McRee, Angela Marquis and Kimberly Marquis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ray, Roy and Rex Guinnee; and sister, Veda Millington.
