The Huntsville Times, Huntsville, Alabama Thursday, December 11, 1997: Mrs. Willie “Bill” Acuff, 96, of Huntsville died Wednesday at a local hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Spry Funeral Home chapel with Minister Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Acuff was a native of White County, Tenn., but had lived in Huntsville since 1921. She was retired textile work and a member of Chapman Acres Church of Christ. She is survived by one daughter, Mildred Acuff Bland of Huntsville. Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
