ASHEVILLE - Bobbie Yevonna Cook Styles, 80, of 43 Trojan Street passed away Thursday, September 17, 2009 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals.

A native of Greene County, TN, she had resided in Buncombe County the past 75 years. She was a member of the Community Service Committee of Woodfin, a past President and Treasurer of VFW Post #891 and a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Styles was a daughter of the late Charlie James Cook and Donnie Thomas Cook and wife of the late Jack Styles. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Zelma Bebber.

Survivng are her son, J.C. Dyer of Candler; daughter, Brenda "Missy" Styles Johnson of Candler; sister, Marie Cook Sheppard; grandchildren, Allen Dyer, David Calloway and Lisa McMinn; four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Mountain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. prior to services at the funeral home.
