Composer. Born in Russia, he was a composer best known for his work in film soundtrack scores in the 1940s and 1950s. His many soundtrack tune credits included "Bundle of Joy", "Some Day Soon", "I Never Felt This Way Before", "Worry About Tomorrow", "Lullaby in Blue" and "The Ballad of Wes Tancred". He was also nominated for Academy Awards for Best Music Original Song for his songs "You Do" in the film "Mother Wore Tights" (1947) and "Wilhelmina" in the film "Wabash Avenue" (1950). He died in Los Angeles, California.
