Wayne T. Beery, July 29, 1925-Dec. 7, 2007, Wayne T. BEERY, 82, of 1501 Liberty Lane, Rochester, passed away at 10:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on July 29, 1925, in Oak Park, Ill., the son of Otto and Carrie (Tyler) Beery. As a youth, he attended Onarga Military Academy in Illinois and Leiters Ford High School. Mr. Beery served in the Pacific Theater with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. On Dec. 29, 1949, he married Martha Jane "Babe" McLochlin at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Kewanna, and she survives. Mr. Beery had been a farmer, worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and retired in 1988 from Bethlehem Steel, Chesterton. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, and the Mission of Mary at St. Charles Catholic Church, Peru. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed antique cars, golf, gardening and home projects. Survivors include his wife, Jane Beery, Rochester; son, Robert and wife Amy Beery, Littleton, Colo.; grandchildren, Patrick and Erin Beery, Littleton, Colo.; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Charlotte Hall and Evelyn Clark. His funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Bert Woolson and Rev. Joseph Jacob officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, where a rosary service will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Kewanna, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Rochester American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, or to St. Ann's Catholic Church, Kewanna.
