After meeting her future husband on a blind date, there was never a thought of another man. She and Wilmer K. Adams were married on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1935. Life on the farm northwest of Buffalo went by entirely too fast. True lost her dear husband in February of 1982. She continued living in the country home until she started enjoying town life in her daughter's home in 2004, much to the delight of her grandchildren. She was a dear, sweet, fun-loving grandmother and card-playing partner. True's bright smile and kind ways will be sorely missed by her family who loved her so much. She never met a stranger and was just "True" to everyone.
True was preceded in death by her husband; her parents J.L. (Len) and Beulah Hieronymus; and siblings, unnamed infant brother, Lauer Hieronymus, Alene Allen, Tom Hieronymus, and Nadine George.
She is survived by her son James L. Adams, wife Marianne, and his daughter Anne Oakley and Anne's son Harrison and daughter Marina; her daughter Marilyn R. (Adams) Carter, husband Terry, and their daughters Debra and husband Terry McGhee, Sandra Carter, Cheri and husband Kevin Norton, Keri and husband John Gardner, Kathy and husband John Quinby, and Cindi and husband Silvio Stefanovic; great-grandchildren Jacob McGhee, Lorene McGhee, Jeremy Norton and wife Laura and children Andrew and Elise, Joshua Norton, Caleb Norton, Sarah Norton, Ashley Gardner, Hope Gardner, Kathryn Gardner, Isaac Quinby, Elijah Quinby, and Mary Quinby.
