Billy Earl Simpson "B.E., Bill, Skeeter" passed away at his home on Monday, May 14, 2012.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Gorman Church of Christ with John Payne and Jason Wilder officiating. Burial will be in the Simpson Family Cemetery. Services under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Home.

Billy Earl was born February 4, 1937 in Gorman, Texas to William Thomas Simpson and Zena Ethel Brightwell Simpson. He graduated from Gorman High School and attended Ranger Junior College. He married Francis Ann Kellogg on June 22, 1956 in Gorman. He was a farmer-rancher and did custom harvesting for many years. Billy Earl served on the Gorman School Board and served as director for Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Gorman Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Francis Simpson of the home; one son, Billy Don Simpson of Gorman; two daughters, Tami Underwood and Tacy Warren both of Gorman; brother, Jack Simpson and wife, Lesa of Gorman; mother-in-law, Sunny Kellogg of Gorman; aunt, Johnnie Hoover of Abilene; five grandchildren, Chasta Carlton and husband, Kris of Gorman, Brian Simpson of Granbury, Mandy Justice and husband, Justin of Olden, Jonathan Williams and wife Cassie of Big Spring and Madison Warren of Gorman; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
