Hazel Marie Frazier: ROYAL CENTER - Services for Hazel Marie Frazier, 104, of Winamac, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Harrison-Metzger Funeral Home, Royal Center chapel. She died at 11:35 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, in Pulaski Health Care Facility, Winamac. Born May 29, 1900, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of James and Katherine Dempsey Strong. She was married June 6, 1917, in St. Joseph, Mich., to Chris A. Frazier, who preceded in death Jan. 7, 1986. Mrs. Frazier was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church, Francesville, the Friendship Circle and Victor Chapel Club. She liked to read, crochet, raise African violets and make noodles. Hazel was a very caring and spiritual person who loved to visit with her family and friends and send cards. She is survived by seven generations including five daughters, Mary Girton, Plainwell, Mich., Betty Reynolds, Winamac, Hazel Cushing, Indianapolis, Pauline Starr. Hagerstown, Md., and Florence Spurgeon, Flora; three sisters, Helen Smith and Edna Stevens, both of Logansport, and Mildred Fenelly, North Fort Myers, Fla.; a special friend, Harold Corbin, Francesville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. One daughter, one son, three grandsons, two granddaughters, two sisters and four brothers preceded in death. The Rev. David Broad will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Grass Creek Cemetery, Grass Creek. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. until time of services Friday in the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
