Mrs. Nellie D. Stombaugh Baumis, 76 died at 4:30 p.m. Friday in her residence at 508 S. 21st Street. She had been in failing health six years. A native of Brookston, she was reared at Perrysville and moved from Brookston to Lafayette where she lived most of her life. She married Henry J. Baumis on September 9, 1920, who was the proprietor of the Ideal Repair Shop from 1920 until 1968, Henry died in 1972.
Mrs. Baumis was a member of the Perrysville First Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Rohrabaugh of Lafayette and Mrs. Denzil (Helen) Flynn of Garden Grove, CA. Two sons, John Baumis of Mattoon, IL and Jeff Baumis of Lafayette.
