Mr. Rufus Hammond Ricker, 67, of Blythe, Georgia, entered into rest at 5:45 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 1963, at a Richmond County hospital after an illness of three weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Sons Chapel with the Rev. David Jay officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Ricker was a native of Blythe, son of the late William James and Leacy Ellen Phillips Ricker, representatives of prominent Blythe families. He was identified in the business and civic life of the community and was active in the church's organizations. He was a retired farmer and member of the American Legion. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Kimsey Ricker; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jim Jones, Brunswick, Ga.; a sister, Miss Elizabeth Ricker, Augusta; a brother, John B. Ricker, Memphis, Tenn., and a number of nieces and nephews.
