When she was only 3, she was selected for the Genius Institute, a school for gifted children, at the former Kansas City University.
Survived by her husband, William Callaghan, whom she married in March, 1972; two daughters, Marjorie and Margaret Callaghan of Annapolis. Her father, Wallace Jackson of Mount Dora, Florida (her mother was Marjorie Ferguson Jackson) and one brother, Randall L. Jackson (b. 4/28/1947 d. 11/25/2010) of Fort Plain, New York.
Sherrie worked in the banking industry in Annapolis and Baltimore.
Cause of death: Breast cancer (same as her mother).
