Carl Friederich Abel, Jr, age 84 years, passed away at his residence at the Ascent in Covington, KY on Saturday afternoon, May 5, 2012. He was born October 31, 1927 in Cincinnati, OH.
Mr. Abel was retired as the President and founding owner of Abel Manufacturing in Cincinnati. He was a veteran of the US Navy during WWII and the US Army during the Korean War. A former longtime resident of Finneytown, Carl served his community as a Springfield Township Trustee for over 20 years and was the Senior Center Director.

Dear father of Deborah (Kent) Smith, Mark (Rosemary) Abel and Suzanne (Dan) Burke;
Loving grandfather of Lindsey (Bob) Dye, Robert and Kelsey Smith, Elizabeth and Will Abel, Shane Burck, Kendall and Paige Burke;
Devoted brother of Karleen Sell, Janice Sauder and the late Anita Abel Pennington;
