Maude was the daughter of William Lucian King and Martha Elizabeth McDonald Strange King. She married first, James H. Black on 13 Jan 1897. [Limestone Co., Marriage Book G, p. 200A] They had one son, James Howard Black. Following Mr. Black's death, she married David A. Kerzee on 21 June 1906 [Limestone County, Texas Marriages, Book K, p. 197A]

Her date of birth, 1873, on her death certificate is different from that in the obituary; The 1876 date from the obituary is used because the 1900 census gives her birth as Feb, 1876.
