Mrs. Maude Kerzee
Dies In Lubbock;
Funeral Set Here
Mrs. Maude Kerzee, age 81, died at the home of her son, Jim Black, in Lubbock early Sunday morning.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Mexia at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Dr. Edwin Mays, pastor of the local church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mexia City Cemetery, with Riddle Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Kerzee, a native of Limestone County, was born February 5, 1876 at Prairie Grove. She had lived in and around Mexia all of her life until three years ago when she moved to Lubbock to make her home with her son. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mexia.
Before moving to Lubbock in 1955, Mrs. Kerzee lived on East Commerce for over 35 years. Her husband, the late D. A. Kerzee, preceded her in death several years ago.
Survivors include one son, Mr. Black, Lubbock and one sister, Mrs. W. M. Eubanks, Sr. Mexia.
Pallbearers will be her nephews: Sam Eubanks, Bud Eubanks, Tom Eubanks, George Eubanks, Fred Eubanks and Lloyd Eubanks.
