Hattie Mae Banks Tolliver, 81, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 27, 2012, with her family by her side at her home in Silver Spring, Maryland.
She was born, February 26, 1931, in Elkton, Virginia to Etta Griggs Banks. She graduated from Lucy Simms and continued her education in Washington, DC. She was married to Colonell W. Tolliver. She worked at the Department of Navy for 25 years.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Lynetta Joanne Tolliver, her grandkids, Nathaniel Cortlandt, Corey Ashton, and Shannon Noelle,and her beloved dog Max, as well as a host of family and friends.
Wake services are May 4, 2012 at Mt. Paran Baptist Church in Elkton, VA. Viewing is from 6-8pm and a memorial service will be held at the church on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 12pm noon.
