Death has again visited our community, taking as its victim Mr A L Lilly. Mr Lilly died of blood poison at the Beckley hospital Saturday. The body was brought here Saturday night in charge of Calfee & Son. Funeral services were held at 2 pm, Sunday by Rev A L Hutchinson. Interment was made Tuesday at Jumping Branch. Mr Lilly was 76 years old.

Death relieved the suffering of A L Lilly at the Beckley hospital last Saturday. Mr Lilly was ill from blood poisoning and had been moved to the hospital with the hopes that the doctors there could relieve his suffering. He had been too long without expert medical services and nothing could be done for him. He died Saturday morning and the body was taken to his home at Beaver for interment which occurred Monday.
Mr Lilly was 76 years of age. One son, Kirk Lilly, lives at Sylvia. Rev A L Hutchinson conducted the funeral.
Two brothers, Rev J P and Perry Lilly, of Dunns, Mercer county, attended the funeral services.
