TALLAHASEE, Fla. — Luther R. "Paw Paw" Miller, 60, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, in Tallahassee, Fla.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, at Abbey-Riposta Funeral Home, with burial in Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Abbey-Riposta Funeral Home.
Mr. Miller was an avid fisherman, enjoyed smoking meats, supporting FSU, and was a devoted husband and father.
Surviving are his wife, Nita Kay Miller of Tallahassee; six sons, Timmy Merkison and wife Faith of Woodville, Robin Miller Jr. and wife Sorrida of San Angelo, Texas, Jimmy Merkison and wife Kasey of Woodville, Ben Miller of Tallahassee, Ira Miller of Perry, and Douglas Kelly and wife Kimberly of Tallahassee; three daughters, Sheila Chase and husband Sean of Germany, Tammy Ryals and husband Richard of Quincy and Rebecca Miller of Blountstown; two brothers, Marvin and Rex Miller; 27 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard B. and Pauline E. Miller; two brothers; and one sister.
