Leanah was first married to John Elegood Houston March 10, 1833 in Lawrence County, Indiana. They had five known children. When John died in 1843, Lenah then married William C. Day 22 December 1845. He apparently passed away as she then married Enoch Boone Newkirk on 31 October 1849. She and Enoch lived mostly in Lawrence County, Indiana, and they had two known children: Catharine and Evaline.
