James "Jim" Tune was the third child and one of six boys born to William Rencher and Martha Spence Tune.

He was married first to: Ollie Mae Jones Tune 1909 –

Then to Lilla Mae Phillips 1879 – on June 25, 1896

Jim and Lilla had five children:
