Elmer Hock, aged 66 years, was laid to rest in Ridgelawn cemetery after a funeral service Sunday afternoon at the Breckenridge Congregational church with the Rev. Paul Drummand of North Star officiating. Comforting songs were sung by Cecil Schneider, Judson and Paul Hill, and Mrs. John Brubaker. A large congregation of relatives and friends were in attendance. Mr. Hock had been in poor health for some time, but slipped quickly away Wednesday morning while being attended by his wife and his daughter at his home in Porter. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Hoyt, of Bethany, and Mrs. Thelma Pohley, of Gladwin, three sons, Dewey, at home, Merle, of Saginaw and Ivan of Gladwin county. One son Walter passed away when a young man. There are also several grandchildren be great grandchildren.
