Herbert is the youngest son of Clayton and Grace Pike. The brother of Wendell, Edith, Robert, Lelia, Reta & Ruth, Fred, Laura, Elizabeth, and Eva Pike. Herbert is the father of 5 children- Kevin, Holly, Vincent, Victoria & Gracie Pike.
Herbert worked in the woods as a logger, for most of his life. He also enjoyed training and racing harness horses with his brother Wendell. In 1974 he went to Alaska to work on the pipeline, until his retirement. He returned to Maine afterwards..
