The daughter of the late Stacey and Irma (Winterstein) Inman was born on April 4, 1926, in Midland. On Sept. 11, 1946, she married Emmett Gooch. Phyllis enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her children and grandchildren. Hobbies she enjoyed were painting ceramics, crocheting and adding to her numerous collections.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Emmett; and her children, Diane (Michael) Kelly of San Diego, Calif., Joe (Teresa) Gooch of Charlotte, Patrick (Patty) Gooch of Spring Lake, Greg Gooch of Prescott, Ariz., Penny (Harry) Loiselle of Grand Ledge, Tim Gooch of Sanford and Laurel (Richard) Fossler of Crystal Lake, Ill. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; her brothers, Jerry (Carol) Inman of Kingsley, and Stacey Richard (Gladys) Inman of Newport Richey, Fla.; and sisters Jane Kilbourne of Midland, Joan Bishop of Freeland and Carol (Harold) Anderson of Clio. Many nephews and nieces also survive. She was predeceased by her brothers, Winslow and Phillip; and her sister Anne Henry.
Funeral service for Phyllis will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, from the Wilson MILLER Funeral Home. Interment will be in Midland City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Memorials may be offered to the MidMichigan Home Care or Alzheimer's Association.
