Mr. Simmons was born Aug. 12, 1934, in White County, to Dewey and Margie Wallace Simmons.
He was a truck driver and served in the National Guard.
Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stanley Simmons.
Funeral service was 1 p.m., April 12, 2012, at Hunter Funeral Home, with burial in Old Bon Air Cemetery.

Larry, Cecil’s middle name should be LeRoy rather than LaRoy. And, I believe it should be Leroy without the capital R. That is the way it was spelled in the 1950’s when I was in school with him. And that was the way it was spelled in the Parks family tree book that he got 10 copies of to distribute to his family. Thanks, Ralph
