In 1934, the Hopkinsville Women's Club raised money to build a concrete pathway in Riverside Cemetery to honor the 27 men who gave their lives during WWI. The paved pathway was named Memorial Drive. The club placed a marker dedicated to the WWI veterans in the center of the drive. Individual markers with the names of the fallen soldiers encircle the drive.
PVT Covington is honored on one of those markers. His memorial marker is located on Memorial Drive, Riverside Cemetery.
