FRANCESVILLE — Services for Thornton G. Westphal, 69, Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Francesviile, will be held 'at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Querry-Ulbricht Funeral Home.
He died at 7 p.m. Friday in Cape Coral Hospital. He had been ill for several weeks.
He was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Reynolds to Carl and Virginia Shoemaker Westphal. He was married May 10, 1941, in Monon to Jane Boehning, who survives.
He was a self-employed engineer, developer, and architectural designer.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the Cape Coral Elks and VFW.
Also surviving are two sons, Ted and Steve, both of of Grand Junction, Colo.; a brother, Truman, Reynolds; and four grandchildren.
The Rev. Wendell Gudman will officiate at the service. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
