Sister Cecile Abler, 91, died Tuesday. Feb. 9. 1999, at St. Francis Home.
She was born April 20. 1907 in Mount Calvary., a daughter of John and Anna Mullenbach Abler. She professed her vows in the Congregation of St. Agnes on Aug. 15. 1933.
Sister Cecile ministered as an elementary education teacher in Wisconsin, Kansas, Illinois and Indiana.
Survivors include nieces, nephews. members of the Congregation of St. Agnes with whom she ministered.- and other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents: three brothers, Gilbert, Edwin and Emil Abler; and three sisters. Adelinda. Leona and Dorothy.
Services: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 8:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Home Chapel. The Rev. Edward Sippel will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Springs Cemetery.
Visitation: After 3 p.m. today at Nazareth Court, 375 Gillett St., where a prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
