John H. Abbott Sr., 89, of 618 Academy St.,Fulton,died Friday at Pontiac Nursing Home. He was a life resident of Fulton. He was a photo engraver at Sealright Corp., Fulton, and Syracuse Lithographing Co. He was also an amateur boxer with the Boxing League of Central New York. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 569. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. His wife, Florence, died in 1996. Survivors: A daughter, Maryellen LaRock of Fulton; a son, John H. Jr. of Auburn; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sugar Funeral Home. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery, Fulton.
