The Concord High School freshman was instantly killed and his friend seriously injured when their pickup trick skidded on rain-slick pavement and crashed into trees a mile north of Middlebury. Mikel 16, son of John L. and Charlotte Teal was the passenger.
A native of Elkhart, the Teal youth was born Jan. 18, 1955, and was a freshman at the Concord Junior High School. Was was very active in the Junior Achievement in Goshen.
Surviving with the parents are three brothers, Paul, John, and Bruce, all of Elkhart.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the
Westbrook-Metz Funeral Home, Elkhart, and until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday when the body will be taken to the Zion Missionary Church to lie in state until the hour of the funeral services at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. George Nantz will officiate and burial will be in Prairie Street Cemetery.
