She was born in East Hopewell Twp., on July 2, 1932, the daughter of the late Roy C., Sr. and Annie E. (Hall) Grove.
Ruth was a seamstress at several sewing factories in the area, but she last worked at Zero in Hellam retiring in 2005 after many years of service. She faithfully attended Bethany Baptist Church in Airville. She was a member of the Red Lion VFW Post #1446 and Felton Fire Company. She went to Red Lion High School and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
Ruth is survived by three brothers, Howard C. Grove and wife, Catherine of Brogue, Earl F. Grove and wife, Joanne of Red Lion, and Richard G. Grove and wife, June of Red Lion; three sisters, Hilda L. Gemmill of York, Mabel G. Thompson of Fawn Grove and Charlotte A. Warner and husband, Robert of Felton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy C. Grove, Jr.
Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery.
