Mrs. Beard died at 2:25 p. m. Friday at the Clinic Convalescent Center, Madisonville, where she had\ been a patient for two years.
Born in Todd County. May 30, 1895, Mrs. Beard was the daughter of the late John H and Mary Sue Barry West. She was a member and deaconess emeritus of the Crofton Christian Church. Her husband, Wilburn Hollis Beard, died in 1960.
Survivors Include three sons, Hollis of Hammond, Ind , Charles of San Angelo, Tex., and Fred Beard, Marine Corps, Cherry Point. N C . three daughters. Mrs. Sam Merrill. Madisonville, Mrs, O.L. Hill. San Angelo, and Mrs. Albert Weakley. of the city, two brothers. John H. and Lawrence West, both of Columbia, S.C.; four sisters, Mrs. Eura Wilson, Austin, Tex.. Mrs. Ethel Moss, New Britton, Conn., Mrs. Ivy! Woodruff, Milan, Calif. and Mrs. Mrytle Thompson. Sun City, Ariz., several grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
