Allen Bethune Parris, 57, passed away Monday morning, December 2, 1996 at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, Colorado.

Born January 4, 1939 to Orien R. and Annie Mae Bethune Parris in Gaffney, South Carolina and raised in Salt Lake City, Allen was a graduate of Granite High School and Brigham Young University. Served an LDS Mission in France.Married Sandra Hardy on February 18, 1966 in Midvale, Utah. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Work took him from Utah to Minnesota to Pennsylvania and then to Longmont, Colorado, where he lived with his wife and four sons the last seven years. He was employed at IBM in Boulder, Colorado.

Allen is survived by his wife of 30 years,

Sandra; his sons, Thomas; Daniel; Joshua and Matthew; and his brother and sisters, Daniel Parris; Eve Hagman; Jean Smith; and Jane Smith. Preceded in death by parents and two daughters, Danielle and Nichole.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Brighton 3rd Ward, 2327 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) where friends may call from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to service. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Cannon Mortuary Funeral Directors.
